From the Ground Up

New Zealand Careers (NZC) was established during the Christchurch rebuild, helping to bring workers to the reconstruction effort.

We recruited predominantly from the Philippines, harnessing the excellent reputation of Filipino carpenters for crucial construction projects. Demand for our high-quality workers saw NZC grow nationwide, resulting in branches in Otago, Southland, and Auckland, supported by our Christchurch head office. NZC workers have been integral to the success of key projects throughout New Zealand, from providing nationwide frame and truss manufacturing services, working on large hotel and infrastructure projects in Otago, and taking part in Government-funded projects in Wellington.
